Project Runway Recap: Not Couture
6 September 2006Let’s play “Good Idea, Bad Idea”. If you were on “Project Runway” trying to win $100,000 to start your own fashion line & you were in Paris & were supposed to design a couture gown that would be judged in part by world renowned designer Catherine Malandrino, would it be a good idea or a bad idea to make every mistake that the other designers were kicked off the show for?
This episode Vincent used an out of place rose, ala Angela. Laura designed a boring dress ala Robert. Michael even channeled Malan’s tree trunk dress. In an odd twist, in Paris some random person threw eggs at the designers and it hit Michael’s dress. Still not enough eggs to make it look pretty. Vincent was finally sent home, for his dress that even kind Uli said looked like a sofa (which was an insult to sofa’s everywhere).
My predictions for next week are that the worst design will be between the red heads Kayne & Laura. How did you feel about this episode? Who do you think will leave next week? Leave a comment & let me know. If I was a judge tonight my score card would look like:
Vincent: You really miss Angela don’t you?
Uli: I don’t hate your dress, it doesn’t make me want to cry.
Kayne: Think of an idea, then subtract 20 ideas, and maybe you can design.
Michael: Adorable guy, please do better so we can keep you.
Laura: If you look/act & dress like Cruella Deville maybe it’s not a good idea to design her exact dress. It will only make me compare which of you has the worst red lipstick & it isn’t Cruella.
