Project Runway Season Finale has Me Crying Like a Baby

18 October 2006

Tonight on “Project Runway”, I learned that whenever Tim Gunn cries, I will cry. Whenever Jeffery cries, I will cry. Whenever Jeffery wins, I will cry.  (Doesn’t mean much, I also cry whenever one of the challengers wins on “Iron Chef”).

Whenever Uli is snarky to Laura for bringing up the whole Jeffery cheating thing, I will be confused. Last week, Uli seemed to be all over the idea of the Jeffery cheating thing, telling Laura to bring it up. This week, Uli is hugging a crying Jeffery saying it never should’ve happened. It was ruled that since Jeffery didn’t have a receipt for the pleating on his shorts, he couldn’t use them. (I thought the denim skirt he whipped up was gorgeous, my favorite piece from anyone’s collection. Shame he decided not to use it). Jeffery was also $200 over budget & so had to cut that amount of his budget. He chose to the lose the blond wigs, which seemed unfortunate, I think it would’ve looked cool. I’m still curious as to whether Jeffery cheated or not, simply because I’m vunerable to the power of suggestion. It was unfortunate that this is what I now associate with him. (I’ve been using the word unfortunate a lot, but that’s what this situation is). I think BRAVO should’ve cut that storyline, but I guess he’s done enough other stuff (the mom fiasco), to mar his image in my mind. However, I felt he handled the situation extremely well & with grace.

As far as the shows at Olympus fashion week, I was amazed at how different things looked from the pictures previously released.  Laura’s show seemed to move too slow with the music.  Michael was still my favorite personality, but every piece looked like something my Barbie Doll had worn decades ago.  Jeffery’s collection had really amazing movement, the kind of dresses you need to twirl around in to properly appreciate.  First Michael was eliminated, followed by Laura, & then there were two.  Uli & Jeffery, good vs. evil.  Uli graciously lost, I’m sure her career will take off despite coming in second.  Jeffery won.  Who would’ve though I would be typing that.  Let me try it once more, Jeffery won!!!
