The new Valentine’s Day
16 January 2007I’ve taken over Valentine’s Day. It is my own personal day. I can’t have a boyfriend, or not. It really is more fun without the boyfriend. Then I can just rent sappy movies & eat ice cream. Some women do this anyways, but it’s because they feel bad. I do it because I’m celebrating. It’s a day to remember that I haven’t settled for someone less than what I want. I get to remember that I am independent, & don’t need to be in a relationship. I can also watch Cary Grant movies & feel hopeful that I will find the right guy. I really have endless possibilities before me. Plus I get to wear whatever sparkly item I have bought for myself.
