The Latin for garnet refers to pomegranate seeds. All garnets are untreated, which means their color is natural. Spessartite is a rare form of garnet that is usually yellow/orange. This also includes the gem called mandarin garnet. I don’t have tons of information about this gemstone, I just know that it looks wicked awesome. That’s good enough for me.
