Who knew that garnets came in green? Garnets come in a wide variety of colors. To me, the tsavorite garnet is what an emerald should like. However, most people can’t afford an emerald of that color & clarity. So tsavorite garnet is a great alternative. If I was a May baby, I would use this as substitute for emerald.This is a great alternative if you are a January baby & don’t like red, or you just want more of your birthstone. Tsavorite varies from an emerald green to a deep forest green, which is a color that isn’t often found in gemstones.
