This heart necklace is part of my grandmothers jewelry. I think it is real silver & could be real turquoise, because she lived in Arizona. This is one of the pieces of hers that I don’t understand. It stands out in her jewelry box as being different. I think all jewelry tells a story, & she was into much more bling than this understated heart. I wonder if it was a gift, or just a really good deal. It’s a beautiful piece, I just wish I knew the story behind it.

It’s that time of year again
Prom time is coming up. I always wanted to go to what I call a "TV prom". These are the proms in New York, where everyone is glamorous & they ride around in limos . My town didn’t even have a place to rent limos. I had a nice prom & a sparkly dress. I’m a little disappointed that being grown up isn’t exactly like I thought it would be. I thought I would be Barbie, that I would attend a lot of balls & formal events. It was what grown up’s did. While I’m feeling nostalgic I guess I will just have to wear one of my tiaras until I come to the grips what being a grown up is actually like.
