Tumbled Amethyst
26 February 2007Here is another way to wear amethyst. Tumbled. This is also called chip & has become very popular in the past few years. It really solves the problem of the old lady wearing purple look that amethyst sometimes has. It’s a very trendy look that would be great for a teen, or just someone who wants to wear their birthstone in a unique & inexpensive way. This amethyst isn’t faceted, but is just chipped. Hence the name chip. I couldn’t find a picture but if you go through the link to jewelry television in the sidebar & search for amethyst chip you’ll see what I’m talking about. A picture would be worth very many words in this instance. It is very natural in its look, almost like a purple turquoise.It makes even me like amethyst.
