13 March 2007One thing I love about being a woman is that 1. I can change my mind as much as I want, & 2. I get to be several things at the same time, a daughter, a business woman, & a friend. It’s a huge job of multi-tasking everyday. That’s why I was so excited to hear about a site the divineMAGgees female rock band website. They combine folk & punk music for a mix that is described as “driven alt-folk rock music, with a touch of bluegrass, jazz and punk,”. They basically mix everything good together to come up with their own unique sound. I really love that Danielle & Cregan trade lines, creating new harmony as they switch back between high & low parts. I think this shows awesome versatility & that they can be everything all at once. I listened to their entire album. It’s very rare that I can listen to an album straight through, but they had enough going on to keep me interested. I think it’s a sound that most anyone will like, there is something in there to appeal to everyone.
