Audrey Hepburn’s Inner Beauty

14 March 2007

One of my inspirations to start this new series that I’m calling "Copy the Stars Inner Beauty", is Audrey Hepburn.  Not only was she one of the most beautiful women ever, not only did she set trends that endure today, she had inner beauty. The quotes come from wikipedia. Maybe her charity work was driven by seeing the horrors of the WWII in the Netherlands.  Many close to her said that

the thoughts of dying, helpless children consumed her for the rest of her life.

Audrey went to work as an UNICEF ambassador, with her first Field Mission being to Ethiopia to 1988. Hepburn spoke Spanish, French, Italian, English, & Dutch.  She traveled to Venezuela, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Vietnam & Somalia.

She also said

Taking care of children has nothing to do with politics. I think perhaps with time, instead of there being a politicization of humanitarian aid, there will be a humanization of politics.

I need to think about this for awhile, & then I will be back to draw some conclusions, but Audrey Hepburn’s inner beauty speaks for itself.
