Spring 2007: Hammered

Style: The hammered finish is one of my favorites. It makes me wish that I was a jeweler, because it looks like a fun to create. It’s ideal for anyone who is rough on their jewelry because how would you be able to tell if it got dinged? We’ve seen this in bracelets a lot, so try a ring or pendant for a very unique, fresh look.

How Much It’s Worth: I would pay $25-$35 for a sterling silver piece & $99-$149 for a piece in 10kt white or yellow gold.

How Long will it Stick Around: We have seen this look for a few years, I think we will see it for the rest of the decade.  There will  also be a resurgence of this look whenever the year 2000’s fashion becomes popular again, so hang onto this jewelry.

Where to buy: Again, look for pieces from different countries or things that you can collect on your travels.
