Women you haven’t heard of but should know: Zainab Salbi
19 March 2007The next on the list of women we should know about is Zainab Salbi. She grew up in Iraq under Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. I can only imagine what that must have been like. This motivated her to start a foundation called Women to Women Internationals. Since 1993 this organization has helped more than 55,000 in wartorn countries. She believes that the people that are hit the hardest in war are women, so she helps women to learn to read, start businesses, & get jobs.
