Avoid brain freeze
25 April 2007Mother’s Day is approaching which means that all across America shoppers will have a collective brainfreeze & pick out the same Mother’s Day card that they bought for their mom last year, & sign their name to the bottom without even a personal note. Others will walk into a store & buy a heart necklace that says mom on it. I love jewelry more than the next person, & I don’t think that there is necessarily a “bad” or “wrong” piece of jewelry out there. Mom’s tend to love anything that you buy them, & it is the thought that counts. However, I’ve been guilty of this shopping brain freeze as well.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we care about our mom’s so much. They have done everything for us, & we don’t know how to repay that, or even say thank you. Others of us just don’t think we can afford to buy her what she deserves. However, if you use free online BlueNile coupons or Ross-Simons.com coupons you can pick out a unique present this year that you can afford. You can get beautiful jewelry starting at under $50 & then use a coupon code for free shipping. I’ve looked over both of these sites, & there is not a bad gift idea in here. The thing about the mom necklace is that it’s so close to being a good gift. Jewelry is almost spot on, but a Mom necklace to me is just so impersonal & predictable. The thing about shopping online is that you can think about the gift for several days to make sure it is just right & fits her personality, because she deserves it.
