Diamonds you can afford tip #10
29 April 2007
There are two kinds of people in this world, those that buy designer jeans & those who don’t. I’m one of the ones who don’t. I think a lot of women don’t buy diamonds because they don’t think they can afford them. They see the commercials & the designers are asking so much money, that they never dare entertain the thought. To me buying designer jewelry is a little silly, because there aren’t any labels on it, with the exception of a few pieces of jewelry that has the companies name engraved on it. However, here are some ways that you can get the designer look on a budget.
- Decide what it is about the designer piece that you like, is it the color, or the shape. Decide what you would be willing to compromise on & what you absolutely must have. Also, be sure & set your price range so you don’t get in trouble when you go shopping.
- Try a piece of jewelry in silver instead of white gold.
- Change your mindset. It’s not necessarily true that everything designer is of better quality, it just means that you are paying a lot more money for it.
- Take a picture of the inspiration jewelry shopping with you, so you don’t forget what it looks like. It’s also good to carry it around with you for awhile so you make sure that this is something you really want to spend money on & isn’t just a passing fad.
- Go for quality. It’s not a good deal if you are going to be ashamed to wear it, no matter the price. Designer pieces tend to be heavier on the gold so go for a bolder look
