Mother’s Day last resort
11 May 2007If you haven’t bought a Mother’s Day present yet, chances are you won’t be able to get one online ordered in time. This leaves shopping around town, which is probably already picked over. So this leaves the old standby of cards & flowers, but what if your mom is allergic to flowers? I don’t know of anyone that is allergic to cards, but it’s hard to remember which one you gave her last year, or the year before. I’ve heard of several people that will just order online & then print out the picture of whatever they bought, & then giving the picture & saying the present is on it’s way. This is either incredibly tacky, or pure genius. Personally, I wouldn’t mind it, just as long as I get the real present at some point. Probably best not to make a tradition of it every year, but you can probably get away with it at least once if your present doesn’t arrive in time for Mother’s Day.
