Birthstone Envy
18 May 2007I will admit it. I have birthstone envy. I’m a July baby & I would rather have been born in almost any other month. I think that May and July babies have the hardest time finding quality jewelry in their birthstone. Emerald is of course the birthstone for May. While emeralds & rubies are some of the most precious gemstones they’re just so hard to find .
Emerald is the only gemstone where the industry accepts that it will be included as a matter of practice. It’s just very difficult to find an emerald that looks the way we think an emerald should look. We picture emeralds as being a very sparkly and having a deep green color. However, such a gemstone would cost more than most people’s cars . So what is a May baby to do? I will be sharing several alternatives to emeralds, as well as different ways to get an emerald that you can afford without having to sell your car. I am doing this because I have almost the same problem with my birthstone which is ruby so I understand the pain.
