Emerald Engagement Rings

One of my favorite options for unique engagement rings is an emerald. This is a great option if the bride wants something different. It’s also a sweet and thoughtful idea if either the bride or groom was born in the month of May. It will be a good engagement ring because:

It should hold up well over time.

It’s unique but still classic.

Green goes with almost every outfit & color.  Plus, it looks great on all skin tones.

It will look like a vintage piece because emeralds were used a lot in vintage jewelry.

It also looks very high end and very high fashion. This is because most countries in Europe tend to not give standard diamond engagement rings instead they give a colorful gemstone such as an emerald.

An emerald engagement ring is the perfect option if you just can’t find a diamond engagement ring that you love.

Enduring Qualities

I think some of the most beautiful people that I know are the ones that are happy. Their lives are in order. That just seems to shine through. You can even pick this out in celebrities. Such as that poor girl (you know the one that I’m talking about), that is going through all of the problems right now. She probably has all kinds of advisers about hair, makeup, & clothing, but something is missing there. She used to look a lot better.

This is true of a lot of celebrities. The actresses that are able to last in Hollywood even though they are 40, or 50, or 60 seem to have this glow. They’ve devoted their life to becoming the people that they want to become, & that gives them an enduring quality. These are the women where you think “I hope I look that good at 60. Heck, I wished I looked that good at 20″. In order to achieve this, it’s necessary to study things like Ayurveda New Jersey which means “Science of Life”. It helps you balance your mind, body & spirit. This science believes that everything is connected together, so you must heal all three areas of your life. It focuses on the body, the life, & the relationship. This type of beauty & peace beams from within & definitely has an enduring quality that can never be achieved through plastic surgery & botox.

Poor May Babies

Shopping for emeralds is definitely a case of buyer beware. Most of the stores that you will find locally will have beautiful, dark green emeralds at low prices.  However, these are almost always  lab created emeralds. This may be an option for you. I have nothing against lab created gemstones. They have all of the same characteristics as a natural gemstone except they’re grown in the lab. This is just a personal preference.

However, if you don’t know a lot about emeralds and you don’t know the questions to ask and you don’t know the jewelers lingo you may end up in trouble. You will probably buy an emerald that isn’t genuine and never even know it. The key to avoiding this is to ask the jeweler multiple questions each phrased in a different way. Ask questions like:

Is this gemstone lab created?

What treatments has it gone through?

Then to further clarify say Has this gemstone come from the ground?.

Ask the jeweler to tell you what every abbreviation on the tag means don’t be shy it’s his job.

Hold your ground. If you don’t want a lab created gemstone don’t let the jeweler talk you into it.

It will take time to find the emerald of your dreams at a price that you can afford, but it is possible if you know how to make an informed decision.
