I Heart Generations 1912
24 May 2007I’m having trouble writing this because I’m currently looking at this picture thinking “It’s just so good”. Yes, I have a weakness for sparkly things, but this is some of the best. Ok focus Sara, focus, tell the nice people why you just spent 10 minutes staring at this picture. I don’t usually go for brand names or designer labels. I’ve never been one to have to “collect them all”. This was true in all aspects of my life, even jewelry. That was until I became acquainted with the Generations 1912 line a few years ago.
Generations 1912 is the jewelry that you should have inherited. It’s a line of art-deco inspired jewelry. It’s so authentic because it’s inspired by the original molds from that period. Bob Weinman is the jewelry designer, this is the third generation his family has been doing this. The molds are from his own grandfather’s jewelry line. As such, there’s an attention to detail that we don’t see anymore. Lots of hand engraving & milgrain work. Plus they use gemstones that are true to the era, such as Alexandrite, even though it’s very hard to find now. The jewelry is quite affordable, a very good value for what you pay. These are the wow pieces that generations from now will cherish. Ok, I can’t write anymore, the pretty pictures are distracting me again.
