Aspiring fashionistas
14 June 2007I think I first became interested in fashion when I started playing with paper dolls. They had the coolest clothes, that I was sure were just like “grown up” clothes. (I’ve been a “grown up” for awhile now, but I still haven’t worn a hat or carried a parasol). The only problem with this was that I had to cut out the clothes myself, & they never seemed to stay on the doll. Besides the fact that I would have thousands of pieces of paper all over my room that would get crumpled & wrecked. I’m sure my mom couldn’t have been very crazy about that.
This is why new virtual dolls are so cool. It started when webkinz made stuffed animals virtual. Now cartoondollemporium does the same with 750 cartoon dolls that can be dressed up. This is a huge site, with over 3 million visitors a month, that stay on average for 20 minutes at a time. Plus, we never had a Catherine Zeta Jones doll back in the day & it’s free. This is a great site for all the aspiring fashionistas out there, or anyone just trying to get in touch with their inner child.
