Picking the perfect wedding present

weddingpresent.jpgI really wish there was another name for the gifts that couples exchange when they get married, besides wedding presents. However, there isn’t. It seems like a lot of guys don’t know that they are supposed to buy their bride a gift. I bet if there was a special name for it, they would remember. Here’s a few tips:

Jewelry always works, for any present, EVER.

Make it a gift that will last. This will be something that your bride will be telling future generations about.

Don’t be silly. Yes, there’s time for gag gifts, but this isn’t one of them.

Go for a classic, like pearls of diamonds.

If it all possible pick out a bracelet or earrings that she can wear on your big day.

Following these tips will ensure that the honeymoon period will at least have a chance to begin before a fight interrupts it.

Why I would buy a Target Wedding Dress

Not that getting married is even a question right now. However, I was just curious how far my bargain hunting might go. Here are some pro’s to buying a Target wedding dress.

Their biggest strong point is of course their price.

You even get the pleasure of saying that it is an Isaac Mizrahi gown.

The dresses are very current looking.

You can easily afford two or three dresses for the price of one dress anywhere else. This means that you can have a different dress for your wedding and reception. Who wouldn’t two wedding dresses?

You get free shipping on orders over $50.00.

I think that you can return the dresses if they don’t meet your expectations. Although you should check with the stores to make sure.

Maybe I’ll buy one to just wear to the grocery store. It’s a wonder why I’m not married.

It’s your turn

When Monica from “Friends” got engaged, she received an estate diamond & sapphire ring. When Lorelai from “Gilmore Girls” got engaged (every time she got engaged), she ended up with a vintage engagement ring. There’s just something comforting about getting an antique engagement ring, it makes the relationship seem like it will last.

I really love estate rings because they often combine rubies & sapphires along with diamonds. This means any bride can have a unique engagement ring, that is still traditional.

It’s difficult to know where to shop so you can get authentic antique jewelry. Lang Antique & Estate Jewelry has been around since 1969, they buy & sell estate jewelry. They have a huge collection of over 7,000 pieces, there’s sure to be one that is right for you. You can even search by design period. A lot of celebrities, & our favorite TV characters have received antique jewelry, isn’t it about your turn?
