American Princess

I originally liked the idea of the TV show “American Princess”. I mean who doesn’t want to see a lot of girls in tiaras or ugly hats whining about their closet space? Last night’s episode convinced me that they should change the title of the show to “American Clones”.

One of the girls is very refined, but she’s not the most attractive. She was basically told that she needs to change her image. I think they have confused being a princess with being pretentious. They try to make all of the girls act, look, & talk the same. If that was the goal they should have had the show filmed in Hollywood because that town seems pretty good at turning out clones.

Free Garnet Earrings

Update: Entries for this contest are now closed, thanks to everyone who entered & check back on Monday for another Random Act of Bling.

I’m trying to give away a piece of jewelry each week to make my corner of the world brighter, well sparklier at least. I’ve been noticing that a lot of women feel invisible. This is my attempt to help people be seen. I would love it if the winners would give this jewelry away to a random person to brighten their day, but they are also free to keep it as long as it makes them feel special. To enter, you just have to leave a comment/pingback/link to an entry on your blog with a reason why humanity doesn’t suck. Links back to this post are appreciated but not required.

The prize this week is a pair of genuine 1.60 tcw pear cut garnet earrings, set in sterling silver.

Here are just a few things to keep in mind, (AKA, the rules):

One entry per person per week.

Contestants should live in the lower 48 states because I will be paying shipping.

If you have won a Random Act of Bling previously, you can keep entering the contest. If you win again though, you should give away the jewelry to someone completely random.

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to remind you that you are special.

Contestants should be over 18.

The winner will be drawn by a random number generator.

Comments must be about a random act of kindness or other reason why humanity doesn’t suck.

Thanks to everyone who has left comments, it’s really nice to see so many good things about humanity.
