My idea was simple, I was going to make jewelry. I love jewelry & I love one of a kind pieces. So I rushed out to the store & spent way too much money on supplies. I was certain that I would make back all the money I spent because I would have all of this new jewelry. How hard could it be? The answer is it’s nearly impossible. A few hours later I was almost in tears, it was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life & one I hope to never repeat.
I gained a newfound respect for people that handcraft their jewelry. I was looking at Mod Jewelry Designs & was amazed at the selection. I am currently in love with a pair of coconut husk earrings. I love the idea of wearing something that is trendy & natural but at the same time, it is unique. How many people can say that their earrings are made from coconuts? Here are a few more things that I love about this shop:
1. The prices are really reasonable. Especially considering the fact that these are handcrafted pieces of jewelry.
2. Each piece is unique & made only once. In fact you can even request a certain color if you see a style that you love.
3. The photographs of the jewelry are really stunning. They really show off the jewelry & are different from anything I’ve seen before & I’ve seen a lot of jewelry.
4. The materials are all silverplated or sterling silver. A lot of the beads are semi precious gems.
This shop is everything that I was looking for when I wanted to make jewelry myself. However, it’s even more affordable & creative then what I could have done myself, & it’s a lot more fun!

I didn’t know whether I should classify this ring as a right hand ring, or an engagement ring. So I decided to think of it as both. It’s good to be a princess & make your own rules. I almost wasn’t able to write this post because I was just staring at this ring thinking, “It wants to come to my house to live.”
