Red Sapphires

10kt 3.10ctw Treated Red Sapphire And Diamond Accent Pendant I’ve seen green sapphires, blue, yellow, purple, pink, & even orange sapphires. I’ve always been told that red sapphires are rubies. However, I just found a red sapphire pendant & it looks a lot clearer than a ruby.

Granted, these sapphires were treated, but still. Yet another reason why September babies are so lucky, they can even have a red birthstone now. I don’t really know what this is all about. I didn’t think it was possible to have a red sapphire but now I want one.

Free Peridot Ring Contest

peridotringfree.jpgI’m trying to make the world a better, or at least a more sparklier place by giving away a free piece of jewelry every week. I call this Random Acts of Bling. The winner can either keep the jewelry for themselves, or they can randomly give it away to someone like a waitress. To enter the contest, just read the rules & leave a comment, trackback, or link to a post on your blog about a random act of kindness or a reason why humanity doesn’t suck.

The prize this week is a genuine peridot cluster ring that weighs in at 1.35 tcw, marquise cut, size 7 set in sterling silver.

The rules are:

One entry per person per week.

Winner is drawn by a random number generator at 6pm Mountain Time on Friday.

Contestant should live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. This will mean that you’ll have to give me your mailing address, but I promise not to sell it or any other manner of ickiness.

Contestant should be over 18.

The idea behind this contest is to in some little way remind people that they are special & that good things can randomly happen to them. As such, please don’t sell this jewelry, hopefully it will make you or whoever you give it to feel special.

Links back to me, telling other people about this contest, stumbling or digging, are appreciated but not required.

Comment must be about a random act of kindness or reason why humanity doesn’t suck.

Thanks & good luck!
