Guide to Style

1 October 2007

I was skeptical at first when I saw that Tim Gunn for “Project Runway” was getting his own show called “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style”. I just didn’t think that he had enough personality to carry his own show. Boy was I wrong err mistaken. He really has a lot more personality then I gave him credit for.

The only part of the show that I dislike are the computer generated model people. This is supposed to make it easier to see what your body looks like, but is just creepy. I don’t see how it can be good for anyone’s self esteem to see the robot version of their own body. Of course there is useful fashion advice that is usually over my head. Even more than this, Tim seems to care about the people on his show more than any other host I’ve ever seen. All in all I thought that “Guide to Style” would be tedious & short lived, but I think it has a longer shelf life that just a few episodes. However, it seems more like a “daytime” show & I don’t know how many white button down shirts I can watch people shop for. How do you feel about “Guide to Style”?
