Finding solutions
22 October 2007 One of the biggest challenges I’ve run up against in running my jewelry business is providing customer support. When I need to make an exchange or ask a question of a company I shop with I usually just e-mail, although I prefer a site that has a live chat. I’m not a phone person. It was extremely stressful to try & figure out how I could afford a second phone line. Since my jewelry business is supposed to be something that is not stressful & even fun it made sense that I didn’t want to do a lot of phone support. I’ve gotten feedback that this might be hurting my business. So I was excited to learn about Live Human support chat.
It can cost as little as $13 a month. You just have to add one line to your html. Then a picture will appear showing whether you’re online or offline. When you’re online you can interact with your customers. You can even find out where your customers are located & what site they came from as well as the sites they visited. The LiveHuman server saves the conversations for up two months. You can even customize the chat window with html. There is even a free seven day trial. It’s a painless way to provide customer support. It just goes to show that I can run my jewelry business on my terms without sacrificing customer service or quality.
