Update: This contest is now closed check back next Monday for a new Random Act of Bling.

Let’s face it Mondays usually suck. So every week I have a contest starting on Monday to randomly give away jewelry to make someone feel special. The winner can either keep the jewelry or pass it on to someone else.

The prize: sterling silver, marcasite & pink shell brooch.

The rules are:

One entry per person per week. If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling you can still win but you must give the jewelry to someone at random. Contestants should be over 18.

Live in the lower 48 states as I’ll be paying shipping.

Winner is drawn by a random number generator at 6pm Mountain time on Friday.

Stumbles, diggs & links back to this post aren’t necessary but it will make me smile.

Comment should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to.

My oldest daughter, who is 19, is such a great help to me. She is the oldest of my seven children and whenever I need for her to watch her siblings for a little bit while I go to the grocery store or an appt. she doesn’t have a qualm about it (well usually. lol). She doesn’t ask for anything in return. We do try to pay her for babysitting when we can, but she doesn’t ask that we do. She’s not one of these young adults that seem to be only thinking of themselves… she is quite the opposite. I would love to surprise her with something shiney like this pin.

My nieghbor has some Halloween decorations on the front lawn. We have has some terrible wind the past few days and I watched some of her decorations fly down the street. I ran outside to catch them and I was able to get her plastic pumpkins back to her yard.

I work in insurance which is something that everyone hates to deal with. A always try to make it a little bit better by being as nice and friendly as possible. I have an older client who didn’t have a car and no one was available to take her to the office to pay her homeowners insurance. I told her I would come pick it up. When I got there, she greeted me with hand picked roses from her garden. She had tears in her eyes and said that me going out of my way for her was the nicest thing everyone had done for her since her husband had passed away. It was a reminder of how much a little act of kindness can mean to someone. Since then she has become a friend and a 2nd grandmother to my little children.
