Free Valentine’s Jewelry

21 January 2008

londonheart.jpgThis contest is now closed.  Just check the sidebar graphic for the latest contest which starts on Monday.

Valentine’s Day can be a downer for a lot of people. Either they are single, or their significant other forgot Valentine’s, or the day just doesn’t go the way that it does in the movies. I wanted to have this giveaway early so that the winner will have this by Valentines. The winner can either keep it, or pass it on to someone else. I can just imagine how someone would smile if they randomly received this a parking lot, or checkout line on Valentine’s day. To enter the contest just read the rules & leave a comment/trackback/link to blog post with a reason why humanity doesn’t suck, or who you would give this jewelry to.

The prize this week is a sterling silver & genuine heart pendant with 16″ sterling chain. The london blue topaz is 6mm princess cut & weights 1.25 carats.

The Rules:

One entry per person per week.

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address. If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

I would give this necklace to myself. I have not received anything for valentines day (except stuff my daughter makes me in school, which I love) since a boy in highschool gave a little stuffed dog and that was a very long time ago. No I am not telling you, lol

What a beautiful present that would be… and you’re right. It would make a great random present for someone in line at the grocery store. There is a coffee shop owned by the same group that runs our homeless shelter here in town. I would give it to the person working behind the counter. That would really make their V-Day, hunh?

I see this single mom every couple of weeks in random places aroound town. I know money is tight, she mentioned a few things in the past. I would love to give the necklace to her. We have never been formally introduced, we recognize each other and say hi since we are always running into each other. I think this necklace would make her Valentine’s wonderful!

I would give it to my aunt. She has been more of a mother to me than my own, and more of a grandmother to my girls too. She is always there for me when I need her and will drop anything she is doing right then and there should I or someone else need help. She has been such a big help to me these past 6 months while my husband has been going through chemo therapy treatments, from watching my kids, cooking us some meals and bringing them over for us. Even helping clean my house, she has done so much that I could never repay her. I’d love to be able to give her a token of my apperication.

Honestyly I would probably give it to a stranger. The face never lies. How one feels shows on their face. I would find a sad looking female, even if she lacked good looks, and give it to her out of no where. She would be able to say that a complete stranger gave her a pretty necklace and also stay with that memory. How romantic would it be if i bumped back into her in the future?

I would give this necklace to my good friend. She recently broke up with her boyfriend of three years because he cheated on her. She is having a rough time trying to move on and was just talking today about how much Valentine’s is going to suck for her this year…she would be so surprised if she received this necklace as a gift!

I think I would enjoy this heart myself. It would be a gentle reminder to make a difference everyday, and to pay it forward. It would also make me smile knowing someone was kind enough to spread some love.

Thanks, so much. What a wonderful, thoughtful way to put some good karma — and sparkle — into the world. It sorely needs it now.

NB: I think I would give the Valentine’s pendant to my friend, whose birthday is right around that time.

I would like to win the pendant.Everyone that enters would.Perhaps for themselves or a loved one or even someone they are close to.
Each person like this pendant is unique and special. To win it is a chance in thousands. To have the honor of wearing it is truely priceless.
So to all I say goodluck and whomever wins the prize you wear it knowing you are truely unique.
