More Free Valentine’s Jewelry
4 February 2008Update: This contest is now closed, check the sidebar for the latest random act of bling.
Every year I buy myself a nice piece of sterling silver jewelry on valentine’s Day. It helps to lessen the blow if I’m single. It reminds me that I’m a princess, which is why I started random acts of bling. The winner can either keep this jewelry, or give it away. So often we think about random acts of kindness at Christmas, but people can be just as lonely at Valentine’s. To enter, just read the rules, especially the part in bold.
The prize this week is a sterling silver adjustable toe ring with the word love on it. I don’t have a picture of this because it was impossible to photograph.
THE RULES:
One entry per person per week.
Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.
Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address. If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.
Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.
If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Hi, No doubt about it, I would give my older sister the toe ring. She wears flip-flops whenever she can and loves toe rings. Please enter me in your drawing. It would be a super surprise for her. Thanks,Cindi

I know that Valentine’s Day can be a lonely time, which is why I try and remind everyone that it is a day to celebrate love in all of its forms (not just romantic love)… of course that is a whole lot easier for me to say in my happy little marriage than it was when I was single. I would seek out a woman who is having trouble being alone this Valentine’s Day and give her this piece of jewelry

We were just talking to our kids about random acts of kindness. It can be as simple as going to the zoo and donating a little extra money. Your going out of your way to make someone feel better. Last week my son suprised us all, we went out to eat, and the whole time while we waited he just drew and drew in his little sketch book. When we finally finished our meal, he ripped it out. I asked him what he was doing. He said he wanted to give it to the waitress because she was working real hard. Mind you, he’s 2 1/2…

I would give this to my little sister for two reasons. First off, she lives in Arizona, where she can actually wear open toed shoes a lot of the year. Secondly, she has been having a hard time with guys lately(her ex got engaged, then she had a bit of a stalker–not fun!). So I think she would appreciate this.

Would it be bad that I would give it to myself? I never spend money on myself, so it really would be a random act of kindness.

I would give it to a co-worker who I consider a sister and soulmate. She is definately a “queen of bling” and would definately enjoy such a gift.

I’d give this to my Mom, because she is exactly the word that is on the toe ring, love. I love her so much. The word, love, is the only word that I can use to describe my Mom.
I love you, Mom!

I would definately give this to my sister. We don’t get to see each other very often and I think this would certainly brighten her day.

I would give this to my friend who went on a diet a two weeks ago for health reasons and just yesterday (after already losing 18 lbs.) said that she felt fat. I think she is looking great.
I stubled onto here and will put your bling banner on my site for sure!! Keep doing what you are doing. I know that it would make me feel great, even if for a few moments. Thanks.

I would give the toe ring to my daughter, she is having a hard time right now because her best friend has just moved away. I know it sounds corny but if she wears it, every time she looks down she would know she is loved
