Free Amethyst Flower earrings Contest
1 March 2008Today a cashier at the store greeted me like I was a long lost friend. I was so shocked that a salesperson was actually being friendly that I physically jumped back like I was scared. I’ve worked minimum wage jobs & I know how difficult it is to deal with the general public, so I really appreciated someone who was enthusiastic just about being alive. Hopefully whoever gets these earrings will feel the same. The winner was chosen by a random number generator & there is a new contest on Monday. The earrings go to Ashley:
This is a kooky comment, but if I won them I think I’d try to give them to the last commenter, Shay, because (1) 31 is a hard birthday for women. Often we think the big decade numbers hurt the worst, but a lot of women try not to make a big fuss over these milestones - and then suffer a delayed effect the next year. That happened to me; and (2) in her great two-volume set “Astrology for Women” and “New Astrology for Women” Jessica Adams notes that the planet Saturn makes a complete revolution in our charts every 28 years. Saturn rules big, humongous life changes. I went to (a private) college in my 28th year - a big change for a woman who’s lived most of her life in poverty. Because they are so big, these changes often take several years to complete (it took me 5-1/2 years to finish my degree because of illness). And if these changes AREN’T undertaken, the hangover effect can be brutal. Either way, I believe Shay may, indeed, need cheering up.
