Gorgeous Handcrafted Pendant

24 March 2008

nightstar.jpgThis contest is now closed.  A new one will start on Monday.

Whenever I have to go do something that I don’t want to (aka be a grown up & wear shoes) I wish that I had a new outfit. There is just something that gives me confidence about having something new. However, this isn’t always practical. Instead, I just try & wear a piece of jewelry that makes me feel special. I want to pass this feeling on to other people, so I hold a contest every week called Random Acts of Bling. The winner can either keep the jewelry, or pass it on to someone else who needs a pick me up. To enter the contest just read the rules & leave a comment with who you would give this to & why, or a random act of kindness. I hope that it will brighten a dreary day for whoever wins it.

This is a new sun sitara pendant called night stars because it looks like stars in the night sky. It measures 1 5/8″ for a total of 43 carats. It is handcrafted and polished by professional master artisans & is a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry. It’s set in .925 sterling silver & I love the setting of this pendant. Even though it’s a new piece of jewelry, it feels antique & hopefully will be kept for a long time by whoever wins. This pendant comes with a 16″ box chain.

THE RULES:

One entry per person per week.

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address. If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

Wow, that is beautiful! I would give this to a student of mine whose husband just lost his job. They will be moving at the end of the school year because of it and I know it has caused her a good amount of stress. I think this would really brighten her day.

Happy Monday! This week I am going to choose myself. I am practically in tears as I type this. My son is in his first year of college and has wanted to come home a lot. It is out of state and not a quick trip. That is all fine, but this weekend was different. His room mate has given him trouble since the school year began and continues to do so! My son and his long time girlfriend are going through a rough time and he is very moody. His classes are very difficult and so these things plus others are wearing on him and thus wearing on me (and his dad)! I won’t go into any more detail, but I enjoy jewelry and could use a random act of kindness to myself. Thanks,Cindi

This lovely pendant would patiently wait for a close friend of mine to reach one year of sobriety. She had the courage to face all her fears and admit she was powerless over prescription drugs. Even with almost a year sober, she carries much guilt and has low self esteem. She has a beautiful spirit, but doesn’t know it yet, This sun sitara would be a reminder to her of how special she is.

I’d give that to my mother. lately she’s been showing me time and time again how much more she cares about me than she does herself. i think she needs something like this to remind her that she’s important too.
