Blue Topaz Ring Contest

31 March 2008

bluewhitetopaz.jpgUpdate: This contest is now closed check back on Monday for a new contest

The birthstone for April is Diamond. I really wanted to give away diamonds, I really, really did. However, there is this pesky thing called money that kept getting in my way. Luckily, the alternate birthstone for April is white topaz. White topaz is often clearer & sparklier than a diamond. So instead, I’m giving away this new blue & white topaz ring. It’s genuine blue & white topaz in a cluster design. It’s a size 7 & in sterling silver. The idea is to make someone feel special. The winner can either keep the jewelry or give it away. To enter the contest just be sure & read the rules & then leave a comment about a random act of kindness or who you would give this to & why.

THE RULES:

One entry per person per week.

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address. If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

This is a beautiful ring. I’d love to give it to my daughter who turned 14 this year.

I had everything planned for her birthday this year, and then because of an error on my part, I had to give my money to student loans and didn’t get the chance to buy her anything. She had a new little sister born on the 9th of January (her birthday is the 17th) and I worry that she felt over looked.

If I could give this to her, I know she’d cherish it!

I love your giveaways and your site. Thank you so much for offering it every week!

I have a very good friend, a sister, and my mom with April Birthdays. I’m sure a size 7 would fit one of them.

Oh my, my daughter would just love this! She has been wanting nice jewelry to wear that isn’t mine. Now that she is older and more responsible, I think she should have some good pieces.

I was so touched a couple of weeks ago when someone gave their entry to me that I’d like to return the favor this week. So, if you pull my name, could you give this to Suzanne (who is #1 above)?

I would give this to my mom to remember her Mom. Grandma passed away in April, almost 11 years ago. She passed away on the day of her 50th wedding ann. I know this ring would cheer her up, since Aprils are always hard.

I do love to do acts of kindness! The last one I did to make me smile was to anonymously give $10 to a person in a night class I was taking. She was a single Mom that looked like she could use a pick-me-up. I slipped her a note with the $$ with instructions that it must be used to buy something pretty just for HER! I don’t usually have cash on me but I was going to buy lottery tickets. They probably wouldn’t have won, but I think I made her day, and that made me happy! :)

How pretty! I would love to give this ring to my sister. Her birthday is in April. She is a very hard-working single mom and I would like to show her how much she is appreciated & loved!

That ring is beautiful. I would give this ring to my best friend whose boyfriend in the Navy just left for a six month deployment. She is pretty down and could really use some cheering up.

hmmmmm.who would I give this ring to? OK, I know!… The lady in my art class who lost 103 lbs, and continues to make amazing progress. She’d appreciate the bling in celebration of her major weight loss success!

I would wear it myself for a while because right now I need to feel special and loved by me. Then I would pass it to a friend going through difficult times with instructions to do the same once her crisis had passed, and so on, and so on…..
