Oh sweater where art thou?

I’ve been looking for a new sweater for thanksgiving. Something that is comfortable enough to curl up for hours in front of the home theater but cute enough to wear to dinner. After scouring a dozen stores, I have noticed a trend. All of the sweaters this season have short sleeves. Sure, they look cute, but I live in Utah. It would only be warm enough to wear that in the summer & then it would be too hot. They are making sweaters that can never be worn. Whatever happened to making sweaters that are actually useful? Remember when they used to look like this?
