Druzy Pendant Contest

047.JPGUpdate:  This contest is now closed but a new one will start on Monday.

This morning I wasn’t very nice to someone. I wasn’t mean, I wasn’t even thinking about them, I was just tired & didn’t feel like being awake yet. The person smiled at me & wasn’t effected by my general grumpiness. Within minutes my entire day had turned around & I was smiling & cracking jokes.

Since I’m not a morning person, I have to discover my own ways to pass on kindness. One of these is to give away jewelry at random. Maybe the person needs it, or maybe they just like the piece & it makes them smile & feel special. The winner can either keep the jewelry or pass it on to someone else. The contest is easy to enter just read the rules & then leave a comment with who you would give to & why or a random act of kindness.

The prize this week is a druzy quartz pendant set in sterling silver with a 16″ sterling chain. Apparently, druzy doesn’t photograph well, but it looks like the inside of a geode, this one has all kinds of colors in it.

The Rules:

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number
generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your
mailing address.

If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist
your prize.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

  1. I was really moved by this concept. So many times I’ve been the recipient of an act of kindness. It has always been moving. It would be very nice to pass it on so another.

  2. Since Christmas is next week I think I would like to do something really selfless with it. I think I would take it to the homeless shelter and see if there is a woman in the area who could really use a pick-me-up.

  3. I would give this to my good friend. She´s in the early months of pregnancy and feels rotten and unattractive most of the time. I think she´d really appreciate a sparkling piece of beauty around her neck.

  4. I would give this to my step daughter. She would really love it.

  5. I would give it to my mom. She is taking care of my brother’s 4 kids and is scheduled for neck surgery next week. She obviously has been feeling horrible lately and is really depressed. She was sad because she couldn’t get me a present, but having her here is enough. I didn’t have enough to get her a gift because I helped her get gifts for the kids. So yea she deserves it and more.

  6. I would love to have the pregnancy necklace for myself. However, given the oppurtunity, I would definatly give it to my mother. Now that I am a mother myself, I can truly see what a beautiful life stage pregnacy is and how important it is for a woman to feel connected to that time. I would love to be able to help her commemorate the time she spent creating me, since she was beside me all the while I was creating my own son.
Thanks for the change to win!

  7. What a wonderful idea. If I were to win, there are a few ladies that I know (well knida know, I know their names and see them) that are down on their lucky that would greatly appreciate (I think and hope) a random act of kindness that this. I think I might tweek your idea to fit my personal loves and passions and pass on a few random acts so kindness myself.

  8. I would give it to my daughter in law,who had our grandson yesterday morning,an we are so proud,an this would be a nice thank you gift to her for giving us such a blessing, thanks

  9. I would give it to my friend whose hubby just lost his job. She’s pregnant and the holidays are looking pretty sparse for them right now.

  10. It felt so good! I had this big gold rope chain that a nice guy gave me long ago. I wore it all the time and it was so cool to feel like I was someone special at one time to someone.
Didn’t know him long and times had changed, new marriage and all…
We were at an amusment park and I visited the restroom where a woman was smiling and going about the task of cleaning and I said thank you to her for what she’s doing. She said she knew the job had to be done and she was greatful for the oppertunity. I handed her the chain, and she said her son was graduating and she had nothing special for him, was I sure about it, -oh yeah- and she hugged me and put it in her pocket and her smile got bigger.

Princess, it is fun to be you, isn’t it? I don’t know who got more from that, but I think I did!

    Definitely – Random

  11. I want to wear it one day, then give it to someone random in my major that I don’t know and that I never smiled at or talked to.
I don’t care if that’s random or weird….but I want to try. Since I feel like faceless going to classes early in the morning or late at night being moody and all that.
