Whenever I look at it
Everyone that goes on the show LA Ink seems to have a story. They usually make me cry. Sometimes they make me blubber. I usually spend time after the show thinking about the stories & looking up to see if whatever featured charitable organization has a toll free number.
Sometimes it’s the story of triumph. There are a lot of memorial tats & stories of people overcoming illness. I was so caught up in the humanity of the show that I didn’t feel sarcastic about it until this week. After every single piece the client says “Whenever I look at it, it will remind me of….” This is great except a lot of these tattoos are back pieces, which means that the person won’t be looking at it everyday.
