Toe Ring Contest

toering.jpg

Contest is closed but a new one starts on Monday!

It’s so easy to get caught up in how dreary life is. They really should just call the nightly news, bad news. Every week I run a contest to give away a piece of jewelry at random to be a small part of good news. The winner is free to keep it or pass it on to someone else. The contest is easy to enter just leave a comment who with you would give this to & why or a random act of kindness.

The prize this week is a sterling silver toe ring with a scrolling heart design.

The Rules:

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.

If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like “Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist your prize.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

What were they thinking?

I was just looking through several slide shows of apparently the best dressed people at the Oscars. I really loved the dresses this year, they seemed to be on the vintage Hollywood side with long trains. I would give everything but the kitchen sinks for one. When I first looked through the Oscar slides I expected to see a few people on the worst dressed lists. Instead, they are on the best dressed lists.

Case in point: Natalie Portman in a flowing pepto bisomal pink dress. Pretty dress, pretty girl. The problem? It’s called the RED carpet. This is exactly why most actresses wear white, black, gold or gray. Red & bright pink are not a pretty color combination. It hurt my eyes.
