It always amazes me how many different businesses Tori Spelling runs. I just assumed that her jewelry line was an attempt to make money, like everything else. Granted, she tries to make money while being adorable so she can support her family which is a worthy cause. She said on Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood that her mom always wore big diamonds so Tori wasn’t interested in those, she’d rather go for costume jewelry. Tori’s kid Liam has appeared on the Home Shopping Network too. I want to tune in every once in awhile to see if she makes any baby announcements. Tori also said something to the effect that she can be just as happy in a $30 sundress as a $7,000 one. That’s yet another reason why I like her.

Her jewelry line is fairly inexpensive for celebrity designed jewelry. The best part is that it doesn’t look fake. Tori chose metal pieces which are a lot easier to simulate than large gemstones which also gives the jewelry versatility. Even the fake stones simulate more natural cabochon or nugget gems so they look real. Is it worth the price? Not to me, but I love the idea behind it.

I first became acquainted with Justine Simmons on the show “Run’s House”. Granted, I didn’t know who her husband was until I borrowed friend’s ipods. That sounds like I have actually met her. I haven’t, unfortunately. I was just impressed with her grace and parenting skills.

On the show they talked about her jewelry line Brown Sugar. I headed over to HSN to check it out. It’s by far my favorite celebrity line because it uses real diamonds and gemstones. Granted. it’s more expensive than costume jewelry, but the quality shows. The only down side to the line is that the name is literal, every single piece is brown. It did make for some unusual color combinations like brown and orange. I usually don’t pay for a celebrity name on jewelry but this line is actually pretty.
