I never know how to dress on the Fourth of July. I want to look festive but not silly. When I was a kid I would participate in a few town parades and the costume would be provided for me. This year the parade had everything from Mesothelioma lawyers to lawn care companies. I miss having my outfit picked out for me. I guess I could choose either red, white or blue and pair it with a cowboy hat. It’s times like these that I wish Stacy London was my friend so I could see how she dresses on the Fourth.
Something I Admire but Could Never Do
The Uniform Project fascinates me. A brave blogger wears the same dress everyday and accessorizes it in different ways for a totally unique look. She has several of the same dress for laundering purposes. It can be worn frontwards or backwards. Contributions go towards the Akanksha School Project. The outfits that are donated are amazing and versatile. It’s really got me thinking about how a few wardrobe staples can be worn in hundreds of different ways. A black dress could last me from now until I need seat lifts. I love the idea behind it but I could never do it myself.
