Turquoise Necklace Giveaway

Update:  This contest is closed but a new one starts on Monday

I was just reading in the October issue of Real Simple about a random act of kindness. The author rethought the way she felt about an entire city because someone returned her missing bag that had a favorite piece of jewelry in it. This is why I give away jewelry every week at random. I can’t change everything, but hopefully I can make someone smile and lend encouragement. The winner can keep the jewelry or pass it on to someone else. To enter the contest just read the rules and then leave a comment with who you would give this to and why.

The prize this week is a huge turquoise necklace with green seed beads. Sorry ‘huge’ is the closest I can come to approximating carat weight.

The Rules:

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.

If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like”Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist your prize.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

I am not sure why it seems that many people around me are going through really rough times,
whether it is financial, losing everything to a house fire, or illness. My friend who was diagnosed two months ago with breast cancer had a pretty good prognosis. The doctors were going to perform a lumpectomy, but she has developed staph infection. Now, after the infection is under control, she has to have the breast taken off! Lisa is the one I would give your lovely turquoise necklace to.
    Many thanks, Cindi

I WOULD GIVE THIS TO MY NEW WORKOUT BUDDY LYNAE WHO IS A RECENT BREAST CANCER THRIVOR AND JUST EMMITS THE BEST ATTITUDE. SHE IS THE PERSONIFICATION OF “ONCE YOU’VE HAD CANCER, YOU DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF” AND THAT’S A PERFECT THING FOR ME TO LEARN IN MY LIFE. SHE’S SWEET.
