Mystic Topaz Pendant Contest

This contest is closed but a new one will start on Monday!

You know how when someone is nice to you or something good happens you kinda forget about all your problems? This is one of the philosophies of Random Acts of Bling, a weekly jewelry contest. The winner is free to keep the jewelry or pass it on to someone else. To enter the contest just read the rules and leave a comment about who you would give this to and why or a random act of kindness.

The prize this week is a sterling silver and mystic topaz pendant and chain.

The Rules:

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.

If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like”Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist your prize.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

A Refreshing Change

I’ll admit that most of the time the only time I don’t feel like a princess is at my job. I think it would totally change if I had a master’s degree, although I don’t know what I’d get it in yet. Maybe I’d consider an online IT degree. Of course since I’m older I just don’t have the time or luxury to stop working and go back to school. I’d need to find something that fit into my schedule, so an online degree would really be the only way I could do it.

I’ve been looking at Western Governors Online University and it has several things that are really different form the other online schools that I’ve looked at. They focus on a student community and there’s also a mentoring program. Overall it sounds like a tighter knit community than the school where I did my bachelor’s degree.

I really like the assessment approach to things. This will keep the students from having to just go through the same stuff they already know and pay money to do so. This is great if you’ve already worked in your field. This also gives you the opportunity to work as fast as you can go so you can graduate quicker. You can even spend less money because you pay per term instead of by the credit.

Combine that with all of the accreditation and financial resources available for students and it’s honestly one of the most extensive online universities that I’ve look at.
