What to Wear to a Wedding

I was recently reading through an article about what guests should wear to a wedding and it really drove home how complicated getting dressed can be sometimes. If I had it my way I’d show up in ugg boots. I was trying to find it again but couldn’t come up with it.

1. White is of course out because you can’t upstage the bridge.
2. Black is tricky because it’s for funerals and formal events. Depending on the circle or unless the invitation specifies it’s also supposed to be out.
3. This is one of my quirks but I always look at the invitation to guess the wedding colors. I don’t want to clash with the decor. At the same time I don’t want to look like a bridesmaid lest someone mistake me for one and give me lots of work to do.

I Knew There Was a Reason I Loved Them

I really adore Dr. Scholl’s shoes. They are some of the most expensive pieces in my entire wardrobe but are entirely worth it. I’m a budget fashionista but I always splurge for brand name running shoes, hiking boots, and hiking sandals just because I need all the help I can get in those areas. My everyday shoes have always been Dr. Scholl’s because they are so comfortable. Now it looks more like something I could see on the good old Samsung tv and not notice that they were comfortable.

Lately though they’ve gotten really stylish with all the sequins and embellishments that a princess would expect. I laughed when I opened the box today and saw the motto “Feel Crazy Good”. Thanks for that advice Dr. Scholls, I’m going to steal it and apply it to the rest of my life.

Thank You for That Fashion Tip Spell-check

According to the spell-check on Microsoft Word hoodies is a word but skorts isn’t. Granted, I haven’t worn skorts since I was in the 3rd grade but at the time I thought it was the perfect outfit. It looks like a skirt but isn’t actually, what’s there not to like? Granted it looks more like a Halloween costume than an actual outfit. So if I had one in my closet right now I’d have to go tell it that it doesn’t exist. At least the hoodies can stick around, that’s good to know.
