Heart Pendant Contest

This contest is now closed but a new one starts soon. Chantel won with her comment:

we were moving in to a new home in a new corner of this country. I was too old for it, but I felt incredibly lost, alone, and so very homesick for the place I knew so well that we’d left behind that day as we moved boxes around and unloaded our belongings. It was just after thanksgiving day and we hadn’t even had a meal, because our possessions were on a truck, traveling our way still.

I’ll never forget that knock on the door. A beautiful little Hispanic lady stood there, holding out a box of holiday cookies. “Welcome to this place!” she said, and smiled. I never saw her again, and I’m really not sure where she came from, but as she walked away, I watched her with tears in my eyes. I doubt she’ll ever know what those cookies meant.

The idea behind random acts of bling is that kindness perpetuates. The winner can keep this or give it away to someone else. In either event to enter the contest read the rules and then leave a comment with who you would give this to and why or a random act of kindness.

The prize this week is a sterling silver heart pendant. I don’t have a chain for this.

The Rules:

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special.

The winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 8pm on Sunday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.

If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like”Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist your prize.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

  2. As I was sitting outside at work, a younger gentleman approached me and out of nowhere gave me a gift card to a bread company in my area. He said he just wanted to pay it forward. With this heart, I’ll pay it forward to someone else.
    Thanks!!

  3. I would give this to my mom, she has a birthday coming up and would love this! Thanks~
