Like many Project Runway viewers I’ve had conflicted feelings about Gretchen this season. Sometimes she seems nice, other times she’s unbelievably bossy. Sometimes she does well on the runway but it’s never really my aesthetic. I think on last week’s episode she was the most human she’s ever been. Her life had changed since she went home to do the collection, she had broken up with someone or they broke up with her, and she was moving. We’ve all had those moments where life is so scary that we end up needing the best eye cream for dark circles. She didn’t really know where she was going to go and she was broke. I don’t really know if I want her to win because Mondo is so fantastic. However, I really want her to be able to pull off some sort of victory to at least show herself during this rough time that she can do it.

I think of the best things about last week’s episode of Project Runways was Heidi’s hair. The weird Dorothy Hamill tribute haircut is gone. She’s such a beautiful woman, but that hair was really getting distracting. Now it seems to be back to the sleek and edgy look that she rocks so well. May the other haircut never return.
