I would give this to my mom. Her birthday was on the 7th so it would be nice since its her birthstone. Our family has been through trials, hardships, and many happy times. I would love to tell her how special she is through them all.

1. Unusual shade of blue. To me, this color of blue goes with everything. I worry a little bit about having a sapphire engagement ring because I wear a lot of black & wouldn’t want the dark blue to clash. To me, blue topaz is great but a little too bright to wear everyday, so this shade of blue is perfect.

2. Sapphires are durable which make them a fantastic choice for everyday wear.

3. Traditional, but unique. That sounds like a contradiction, but sapphires have always been the obvious choice for a woman who wants a unique engagement ring. Princess Diana even had a sapphire engagement ring & if it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for this wannabe princess.

Granted, these sapphires were treated, but still. Yet another reason why September babies are so lucky, they can even have a red birthstone now. I don’t really know what this is all about. I didn’t think it was possible to have a red sapphire but now I want one.

I think that peridot is a great option for trendy jewelry. It’s a fantastic way to try out a new gemstone cut or style without spending a lot of money. So next time that you see a celebrity wearing a new piece of jewelry, try & find it in peridot. This way you’ll still get a natural gemstone for about the price of a cz.

However, if you look hard enough you kind find a peridot that is a lighter green, it’s softer. It may not be the most prized form of peridot but if it’s something that you love, then that’s what you should buy. It’s your birthday & you can buy what you want to.

So, I’m used to always just seeing amazing pieces on the Generations 1912 show, but I wasn’t prepared for this. They had paraiba tourmaline. What is quite possibly the rarest gemstone on the planet. Plus, it was only in the $600 range. They have several pieces in paraiba tourmaline, although the $600 is sold out. The jewelry is at great prices & this is definitely an investment piece. Did I mention that it’s the rarest gemstone ever? I had never even seen paraiba tourmaline, only heard about it. Shocking, absolutely shocking. I’m not one to ever use emoticons, but if I was there would be a whole line of smiley faces clapping their hands.

The mall may just have one or two genuine emerald rings in the entire place. This means that if you have friends and family who are also born in May chances are you’ll end up with the same green ring . However, most people will not have a Chrome Diopside ring. So if you can’t find an emerald you love, try a Russian emerald.
