Why everyone should have a tiara

tiara8.jpg

Thanks to everyone who participated in “Random Acts of Bling” last week. I can’t wait for Monday, the next prize is so sparkly. That’s the technical term, sparkly. More than that, the contest definitely got me out of my, “People suck” mood.

I just packed up the tiara to be mailed. I actually own three or four tiaras, & I’m not even a beauty queen. Here’s why:

We’re all princesses, but people tend to forget that. They remember pretty quickly if you have a tiara on your head & it’s more polite than just saying bite me, although that is fun too.

A tiara isn’t necessary, which is exactly the appeal. It’s sparkly too.

There are some parts of being grown up that just aren’t fun. When I was little I thought that being grown up consisted of wearing a faux fur coat & living in a pink house. (What can I say? Barbie prepared me for grown up life). I was very disillusioned in my early twenties when I found out this wasn’t the case. Being grown up consisted of paying car insurance & washing dishes. So sometimes, just looking at a tiara, or throwing it on to run boring errands, like cleaning the house, just makes me smile & everyone else who seems me smile as well.

So next Christmas, ask for a tiara, you need one.

Enduring Qualities

I think some of the most beautiful people that I know are the ones that are happy. Their lives are in order. That just seems to shine through. You can even pick this out in celebrities. Such as that poor girl (you know the one that I’m talking about), that is going through all of the problems right now. She probably has all kinds of advisers about hair, makeup, & clothing, but something is missing there. She used to look a lot better.

This is true of a lot of celebrities. The actresses that are able to last in Hollywood even though they are 40, or 50, or 60 seem to have this glow. They’ve devoted their life to becoming the people that they want to become, & that gives them an enduring quality. These are the women where you think “I hope I look that good at 60. Heck, I wished I looked that good at 20″. In order to achieve this, it’s necessary to study things like Ayurveda New Jersey which means “Science of Life”. It helps you balance your mind, body & spirit. This science believes that everything is connected together, so you must heal all three areas of your life. It focuses on the body, the life, & the relationship. This type of beauty & peace beams from within & definitely has an enduring quality that can never be achieved through plastic surgery & botox.

Own celebrity gowns

This is a great example of celebrities doing good.  "Clothes Off Our Back" is an organization that auctions off the dresses that the celebrities were wearing at award shows, or even t-shirts or ipods they have signed.  The money is then given to help children around the world.  I think that this is a great effort, & a sacrifice too.  I would probably want to keep my dress & wear it to the grocery store occasionally.  You can even get some of the jewelry the stars wear.  So you get cool stuff & help people at the same time.  That is a true win/win situation.
