I really fell out of love with Anya last week. She had just seemed to have lost of all of her sparkle, inspiration, and joy. Maybe it just existed because she was so new to design. However, she seemed to have really choked when it came to putting together her entire collection.

I knew that she’d go back more to her tropical roots, and in a way this was great. However, I wish she would’ve made an inventive use of like seaweed products or something instead of just using sunset colors. All of the other designers were using interesting materials instead of just fabric. It’s a shame too because her overall beach look and vibe was my favorite, but her collection just seems to really go back a lot to what it was before she started the show. There was no progession there. I guess the other designers were right. However, I did develop a huge crush on Viktor’s collection. He had some tropical pieces but he made the prints himself so they were one of a kind. Please, don’t let Joshua win, anyone but him.

I found the activewear challenge on last week’s Project Runway fascinating. The designers had to design pieces for Heidi’s collection. It featured a lot of hoodies and cropped pants. You know the kind of clothes that most women wear. The runway show was really enlightening. Really everyone just looked sloppy. I at least wished that they’d go put on cute suits like they had banking jobs. I couldn’t believe how different the models looked from their usual polished selves. Plus they were all wearing specially designed activewear with perfect bodies and it still didn’t look good.

I really thought that last week’s episode of Project Runway was interesting. The designers were surprised by their families and got out of their metal building, put their work away, and just spent time together. They were all waiting for the curveball but there really wasn’t the usual twist. This seemed to mess up every single designer in one way or another. I guess it just distracted their focus. They weren’t alone with their ideas anymore and had to start thinking about their past and future. It really shows how important concentration and focus is.
