I Miss Peach

I’ll admit that I really miss Peach on Project Runway. The moment I heard her name I just fell in love with her. I also loved that she was from a different generation but could still keep up with all of the younger designers. I knew that she wore women’s sweaters a lot but I couldn’t really get a sense for her defined fashion style. However, she and Casanova were really the only ones with positive energy on the show and I wish them both the best. I wish they could’ve stayed longer for pure entertainment value.

Blue Bead Bracelet Giveaway

Update: This contest is closed!

Usually for Random Acts of Bling I say a random acts of kindness and then reveal the prize, but this week they are one and the same. The idea behind this contest is that people need to feel appreciated and special. The winner can keep the jewelry or give it away to someone else. Cathy very generously donated this bracelet out of the blue to giveaway. She made it herself and it’s gorgeous, I can’t even fathom how much time it must have taken. It features several types of blue beads in a zig zag pattern. She’s also starting an etsy shop so check back soon to see some of her creations. In order to enter the contest just read the rules and leave a comment about who you would give this to and why or a random act of kindness.

The Rules:

Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special.

The winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 8pm on Sunday Mountain Time.

Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.

If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.

Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like”Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist your prize.

If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.

Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

Jay was Robbed

I was really sad to see Jay go on Project Runway last week. I pretty much needed migraine relief by the time it was over. I really thought that not only would he beat Malea from Project Runway for the final Bryant park finale spot but that he would win the whole thing. I really loved his Samurai inspiration. He was the only one out of the final four who really pushed himself with his collection instead of just doing his own signature style. I really hope that his collection sees the light of day and I really wished that he would have had the triumphant moment that he deserved. It was heartbreaking because I just kept hoping that after Heidi said “Maela you’re in” she’d say “Jay you are in too” the way that she did on the previous episode because he really deserved to go to fashion week.
