In order to celebrate my blogaviersary, I bought a 2 carat tanzanite ring set in sterling silver, for under $50. Everyone has said that it looks like thousands of dollars. It really does. I never thought that I would be able to own so much tanzanite. I think it has to do with the fact that it’s set in silver, & tanzanite doesn’t seem to be suffering quite as much as it was a few years ago. However, the mines will still run out someday, so it’s a good idea to buy it now while it’s affordable.
Most of my precious gemstone rings are pretty tiny. This ring can be easily seen across the room. I’m not even into the "Lord of the Rings’, but I can’t help looking at it & thinking, my precious.

Why should you choose a tanzanite engagement ring? Tanzanite engagement rings are increasing in popularity, especially in Europe, which is considered the height of fashion. Tanzanite is only mined in one place in the world, and the supply is rapidly diminishing. This means you will a unique piece that will go up in value. Already it is difficult to find top gem quality tanzanite, especially at reasonable prices. Tanzanite is called a generational gemstone, meaning it probably won’t be available for the next generation, and is many times more rare than a diamond. The ring shown has a retail price of $899.99, but is currently only $459.00 Click on the picture for more information. This would also make a great right hand ring, or a great gift for December babies.
