Yes, I’m still thinking & blogging about “Gilmore Girls”. More specifically I was remembering the ring that Zach proposed to Lane with. I think it was a Shriner Ring. Since I’m still having “Gilmore Girls” withdrawals, I thought that I should look up the ring. I couldn’t find the exact ring, I just know that it was very rock & roll. I was impressed with the selection of these rings, & I think that they would make a unique engagement ring or even a wedding band for a guy. It’s good enough for the Gilmore Girls after all.
Gilmore Girls Engagement Ring
I’m in love
I didn’t know whether I should classify this ring as a right hand ring, or an engagement ring. So I decided to think of it as both. It’s good to be a princess & make your own rules. I almost wasn’t able to write this post because I was just staring at this ring thinking, “It wants to come to my house to live.”
I usually only gush over jewelry that is set in platinum or white gold. However, I really like the gold in this ring, it’s a great contrast to the alexandrite. The design is from Generations 1912. It also doesn’t hurt that there are 66 diamonds in this setting. This ring is the very definition of bling. I’m in love.
It’s your turn
When Monica from “Friends” got engaged, she received an estate diamond & sapphire ring. When Lorelai from “Gilmore Girls” got engaged (every time she got engaged), she ended up with a vintage engagement ring. There’s just something comforting about getting an antique engagement ring, it makes the relationship seem like it will last.
I really love estate rings because they often combine rubies & sapphires along with diamonds. This means any bride can have a unique engagement ring, that is still traditional.
It’s difficult to know where to shop so you can get authentic antique jewelry. Lang Antique & Estate Jewelry has been around since 1969, they buy & sell estate jewelry. They have a huge collection of over 7,000 pieces, there’s sure to be one that is right for you. You can even search by design period. A lot of celebrities, & our favorite TV characters have received antique jewelry, isn’t it about your turn?
