I don’t think I’m going to be doing a lot of shopping this season. I’ll probably be looking at clothes a lot and not really buying. This has to do both with my budget and also the fact I’m not in love with many of the spring collections. There just seems to be a lot of bright coral and cobalt blue around. Even my favorite stores like Coldwater Creek don’t have anything I really want to buy right now. I’ll spend the money on extra presents for people. I don’t have to worry about buying wedding gifts for mom anytime soon, but I would like to get nicer things for Mother’s Day. I think there’s one top but I have to wait and hope it goes to the outlet section so I can afford it. Do you ever skip buying things for a few months until a new season rolls around?
How to Stop Mindless Shopping
I’ve been going on a budget diet and it was more difficult than I originally anticipated. The biggest change I’ve made is just unsubscribing to most emails. I used to use them for great rewards but really they were just tempting me to shop when I didn’t need to. My inbox feels so empty now but maybe my wallet will feel full soon.
I Wish I Wasn’t on a Budget Diet
I went on a budget diet because of some changes at work. I’ve been really good about not shopping. With any business sometimes you have to cut down on personal expenses and this is one of those times for me. I’m sure it happens in every business like a hospital moving around funds for a new medication cart.
However, the one store that always gets to me is Coldwater Creek. Right now they’re having a 50% off outlet sale. It ends Tuesday so hurry. A lot of the tops that I’ve wanted that started out at $50-$90 are now down to $11-$25. However, since I don’t technically need any of it I’m still on my budget diet.
