Brian Williams from the Nightly News asked viewers to send in good news. I guess he’s gotten a lot of emails lately asking for a break from the really dreary news. It’s not about denying our country’s many problems, it’s more about giving people hope. One viewer requested that the newscast begin & end with good news. In response they will start airing a few segments about acts of kindness or “good people who are doing good things.”
I try to do the same thing every week by randomly giving away a piece of jewelry to make someone feel special. It’s a small thing that will hopefully make someone smile. The winner can keep it, or give it to someone else.The contest is easy to enter, just read the rules first. Make sure that your comment is about who you would give the jewelry to & why or a random act of kindness.
The prize this week are green amethyst (also known as prasiolite) earrings. These are set in sterling silver in a vintage style design.
The Rules:
Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.
Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.
If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.
Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like “Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might have to relist your prize.
