I don’t usually like the idea of displaying my jewelry. I don’t want it to get dusty. Plus, I have so much of it that it tends to make my room feel cluttered. Right now I use ice cube trays to keep all of my earrings separate. I like the ability to tuck them away in a drawer which is also why I fell in love with the idea of the earring book. However, if I had a walk in closet I’d probably hang it up. If you’re male you probably want to go see http://www.besttestosteronesupplements.com/ by now.
However on Pinterest there were a few posts that had me rethinking my stance on earring storage; and yes I actually have a stance on it. I’ve seen plenty of frames with plastic canvas in them and actually made one once; but again it felt too cluttered and just wasn’t big enough. This project upgrades that idea using a metal mesh.
This next display seems to make the best use of space because you can get a lot of earrings on one rack. This blogger used a vintage serving tray with the glass in it. Even though the tray is beautiful it’s all about the rows of earrings hung underneath it. I think a picture frame without the glass would also work and give you easier access.
My next favorite idea actually hangs these from series of vintage and repurposed door handles. Again, I’m worried about their being enough display places for this. It seems like the next time you see something vintage at the thrift store and it isn’t in a complete set then turning it into earring storage is the way to go.

This contest is closed but a new one starts on Monday!
Most women can tell you a list of reasons why they don’t like their body. Most of us stand in front of the closet and think “we have nothing to wear.” What we really mean is that we have nothing we feel pretty in. Unfortunately, I can’t change that. What I can do is randomly give away a piece of jewelry every week to make someone feel special and give them a bit of hope that good things can happen. The winner can keep the jewelry or give it away to someone else. To enter the contest, read the rules and then leave a comment with who you would give this to and why or a random act of kindness.
The prize this week are sterling silver marcasite earrings in a heart design.
The Rules:
Please don’t sell the jewelry, it’s to make whoever receives it feel special. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator at 6pm on Friday Mountain Time.
Contestants should be over 18 & live in the lower 48 states because I’ll be paying shipping. I won’t sell or abuse your mailing address.
If you’ve already won a Random Act of Bling, you can win again, but please give the jewelry away at random.
Please leave a valid e-mail address, this is how I will contact you if you win. The subject line of the email will say something like”Random Acts of Bling: You Won” I’ll also announce the winner in a blog post. If I can’t reach you then I might
have to relist your prize.
If you want to link or stumble this post it would be appreciated but is not required.
Comment/trackback/link should be about a random act of kindness or who you would give this jewelry to & why.

Today is feeling kinda blah, which sometimes is worse than having an all out bad day because at least when you have a bad day it comes with cool stories and ranting rights. This is one of the reasons that I give away jewelry every week. To combat the blah. It infuses a little joy into the winner’s life and I get to read lots of great comments and have my faith in humanity restored. The winner can keep the jewelry or give it away to someone else. To enter the contest leave a comment with who you would give this to & why or a random act of kindness after reading the rules.
The prize this week are sterling silver and onyx dainty earrings in a circle shape.
